California Notice at Collection

This California Notice at Collection applies to California residents and supplements the GridHome Group Privacy Policy.

GridHome Group LLC ("GridHome Group," "we," "us," or "our") collects personal information through websites, platforms, tools, forms, applications, communications, and related services operated under the GridHome Group, LocalProRepairs, TradeHomeBase, and TradeFieldWork brands, including gridhomegroup.com, localprorepairs.com, tradehomebase.com, tradefieldwork.com, and related webpages, applications, hosted services, and communications (collectively, the "Services").

This Notice explains the categories of personal information we may collect, the purposes for which we collect and use that information, whether we sell or share personal information, and how long we retain personal information.

Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may collect the following categories of personal information.

Examples include: name; email address; phone number; mailing address, if provided; account name; IP address; device identifiers; and similar identifiers.

Examples include: ZIP code; city; county; state; location information you choose to provide; and approximate location inferred from IP address.

We do not collect precise geolocation unless we provide any additional notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law.

g. User-submitted content

Examples include: form submissions; messages; support requests; survey responses; calculator inputs; planning inputs; project descriptions; home or repair details; budget information; timing preferences; free-text notes; preferences; project files; photos; documents; estimates; bids; proposals; contracts; invoices; RFIs; submittals; change orders; closeout records; communications; and other information you choose to upload, create, generate, submit, or store through the Services.

h. Cookies and similar technology data

Examples include: cookie identifiers; pixels; SDK data; local storage identifiers; analytics identifiers; session data; device data; usage data; and interaction data.

i. Inferences

We may create limited inferences from your use of the Services, such as suggested resources, planning outputs, category recommendations, workflow suggestions, content personalization, or product recommendations based on your interactions with the Services.

j. Sensitive personal information

We do not request sensitive personal information through general forms, calculators, planning tools, or educational features.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, medical information, information about children, precise geolocation, highly sensitive legal or insurance details, or other sensitive personal information unless the relevant Service specifically requests it and you have the right to provide it.

If account-related functionality is used, we may collect information needed to secure and manage account access, such as login credentials or authentication-related information.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about individuals.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

We do not use customer account data, project files, contracts, invoices, uploaded documents, workspace content, or user-submitted project records for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If we use advertising cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, analytics tools, or similar technologies on our marketing websites in a way that is considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link or another legally required opt-out method before engaging in that activity.

Where required by law, we will honor valid opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as requests to opt out of sale or sharing.


5. Sensitive Personal Information

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about individuals.

If we collect sensitive personal information in the future, we will use it only for purposes permitted by applicable law, such as account security, authentication, fraud prevention, service operation, compliance, or as otherwise disclosed at or before collection.


6. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, including to provide the Services, maintain accounts, respond to inquiries, improve the Services, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support backup and archival processes.

Our retention criteria include the type of information, the purpose for collection, the sensitivity of the information, operational needs, account status, security needs, legal requirements, and whether the information is still needed for the Services.

Category-based retention criteria include:

Identifiers and account information: retained for the account relationship and a reasonable period thereafter for business records, security, legal compliance, and dispute prevention.

Billing, transaction, and commercial information: retained as needed for accounting, tax, audit, chargeback, payment processing, subscription administration, and legal compliance.

Professional or employment-related information: retained as needed to administer accounts, workspaces, business relationships, product functionality, communications, and legal compliance.

Internet, device, log, cookie, and usage information: retained as needed for analytics, security, debugging, fraud prevention, service integrity, product improvement, and marketing compliance.

Geolocation-related information: retained as needed to provide location-relevant resources, improve planning tools, troubleshoot the Services, maintain security, and operate location-based features.

User-submitted content, project files, documents, workspace content, and communications: retained for the duration of the relevant account, workspace, subscription, project, or business relationship, a limited retrieval period after termination where applicable, and then according to our backup and deletion cycles.

Marketing and communication records: retained until you unsubscribe and for a reasonable period thereafter for compliance, suppression-list, and recordkeeping purposes.

Inferences: retained as needed to provide recommendations, improve user experience, operate the Services, and maintain business records.

Sensitive personal information, if collected: retained only as needed for the disclosed purpose, account security, legal compliance, or other purposes permitted by law.

Backup and archived copies may persist for a limited period as part of standard retention and disaster recovery processes.

When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, anonymize, or aggregate it unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
